OVERVIEW

The objective of this project was to collage various images to create a cover and a magazine spread around a current issue. In an age dominated by cellphone use, many have become almost desensitized in their day-to-day lives. Empathy has become less prevalent in recent times, and as such, people continue to become more and more isolated. This project demonstrates the way tragedy can bombard an everyday person and desensitize them, as more negative news coverage gets pushed into people's algorithms daily.

SOLUTION

The objective of this project was to collage various images to create a cover and a magazine spread around a current issue.

About the project

This project touched on a very prevalent topic in today's society, and the limitation of collaged images only made this a unique project to tackle. However, I believe the limitations benefited the composition, as the grit and texture that comes with paper rips and acetone photo transfer helped the tone of the article and what it was trying to convey stand out.
